September 2020 \u2013 Das M\u00fcnchener Startup-Unternehmen HAWK:AI hat den FinTech Germany Award 2020 in der Kategorie \u201eArtificial Intelligence\u201c f\u00fcr den Einsatz von K\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz in der Geldw\u00e4schepr\u00e4vention erhalten. Die Preisverleihung fand am 17.09.2020 in Frankfurt am Main statt. Insgesamt 200 junge Unternehmen hatten sich in acht verschiedenen Kategorien beworben oder sind von der Jury nominiert worden.

\u201eUm Finanzinstitute in ihrem Kampf gegen Geldw\u00e4sche zu unterst\u00fctzen, setzen wir auf K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz und Machine Learning. Mit dem FinTech Germany Award werden wir als Vorreiter in der Geldw\u00e4schepr\u00e4vention best\u00e4tigt. Geldw\u00e4sche ist ein brisantes Thema \u2013 vor allem in Deutschland \u2013 und verursacht j\u00e4hrlich Sch\u00e4den in Milliardenh\u00f6he. Banken, Zahlungsdienstleister und FinTechs sch\u00e4tzen \u2013 gerade in Verbindung mit traditionellen, regelbasierten Verfahren \u2013 den Einsatz der neuen Technologien. Daraus ergeben sich zwei relevante Effekte f\u00fcr die Unternehmen, die die Softwarel\u00f6sungen des Startups einsetzen: Durch zielgenaues Erkennen von Geldw\u00e4scheverdachtsf\u00e4llen kann die Prozesseffizienz zum einen signifikant gesteigert werden. Zum anderen k\u00f6nnen durch die freigewordenen Ressourcen neue Kriminalit\u00e4tsmuster umfassender und vorausschauender aufgedeckt werden.<\/p>\n

\u201eDabei wird auch zunehmend das Erkennen von Mustern auf Basis von Daten mehrerer Institute eine Rolle spielen. Wir freuen uns, dass Aufsichtsbeh\u00f6rden und Geldw\u00e4schepr\u00e4ventionsgremien das Thema Digitalisierung, den Einsatz von KI und den Ansatz instituts\u00fcbergreifend zu arbeiten, immer st\u00e4rker in den Fokus r\u00fccken\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Schweiger. Der deutsche Pr\u00e4sident der Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Dr. Marcus Pleyer, listet als ersten Punkt der Priorit\u00e4ten seiner zweij\u00e4hrigen Amtszeit die \u201eDigital Transformation of AML\/CFT\u201c \u2013 die Notwendigkeit zur Digitalisierung der Geldw\u00e4schebek\u00e4mpfung auf. \u201eAuch wir k\u00f6nnen den Willen zur Digitalisierung durch Gespr\u00e4che, die wir f\u00fchren, best\u00e4tigen\u201c, so Schweiger.<\/p>\n
