Mit der App PhonePOS, die von den Unternehmen CCV und der Rubean AG entwickelt wurde, steht Händler jetzt eine von der Deutschen Kreditwirtschaft zugelassene Alternative zu Bezahlterminals zur Verfügung. Die App verwandelt Smartphones und Tablets in ein “digitales Terminal-ohne-PIN-Pad” (TOPP). Beim Bezahlen setzt das System auf die NFC-Verbindung. Es genügt also, die Karte in die Nähe zum Gerät zu bringen.
